Drew Frasz 08 County Board - Kane District 26
A Proven Civic Leader Who Listens
Drew Frasz of LaFox announces candidacy

Drew Frasz of La Fox announces his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Kane County Board District 26. District 26 encompasses a large portion of the southwest quadrant of Kane County including Elburn, Mill Creek, La Fox, Big Rock, Kaneville and portions of Sugar Grove.

A life long resident of central Kane County, Mr. Frasz has served on the executive committee of the concerned La Fox Area Residents citizens group (CLAR) for the last 6 ½ years and is currently Vice-President of the La Fox Civic organization. "I have had the pleasure of working with a dedicated group of civic minded residents who successfully took control of their community's destiny and garnered total regional support for the responsible growth of the unincorporated La Fox community." The group took the unique approach of collaborating with developers to redesign and reduce the size of the development, now known as the Settlements of La Fox, and negotiate a financial package (worth over $3 million to the community) and a first-of-its-kind agreement was secured between the developers and the group.

"My goal would be to take my positive experience in dealing with both sides of the growth issue and apply it to the growing communities and rural areas of District 26. Additional, I seek to return active local representation to District 26, whose residents will be challenged with preserving their rural, small town heritage while dealing with growth."

Frasz will accept financial contributions only from individuals and not from any companies or organizations doing business with Kane County. Frasz is supported by local citizen's groups: Mill Creek Residents for Change, Citizens Against the Sprawlway, and the Concerned La Fox Area Residents, as well as being a member of Preserve Campton.

Frasz, 50, lives near La Fox with his wife of 27 years, Gail, and their two children, Laura and Aaron. He was a full-time firefighter in both Geneva and Aurora for 10 years and has operated A.E. Frasz, Inc., a local landscaping/excavating and construction company since 1977.
